BROTHERS HIT the ROAD in 2014

From Goldmine magazine:
A string of concert dates and the release of previous live recordings — including one made at Boston Common just weeks before guitarist Duane Allman’s death — are among the offerings The Allman Brothers Band has in store for its 45th anniversary year.
The band will return to New York City’s Beacon Theatre for 10 shows: March 7, March 8, March 11, March 12, March 14, March 15, March 18, March 19, March 21 and March 22. The band has performed at the 2,800-seat theater more than 220 times since 1989.
“It’s always good to get back on stage with the Brothers,” ABB co-founder Gregg Allman says. “Man, beyond the Brothers, that Beacon audience is like our family. You can look into their eyes — they’re right on top of you … there’s no other room like it.”
The Allman Brothers Band’s current lineup consists of founder Gregg Allman (vocals and keyboards); founding member Butch Trucks (drums and tympani); founding member Jaimoe (drums); Warren Haynes (vocals, lead and slide guitar), Derek Trucks (slide and lead guitar), Oteil Burbridge (bass) and Marc Quinones (congas and percussion).
The band’s own recording label — Allman Brothers Band Recording Company — will issue “Boston Common 8/17/71″ in February. The recording is one of the few Duane Allman-era shows that few fans have heard or owned. It joins previous self-released archival recordings including “American University 12/13/70,” “Stonybrook 9/19/71,” “Macon 2/11/72″ and “Nassau Coliseum 5/1/73.”
Epic/Legacy Recordings will serve up several Allman Brothers Band releases on Feb. 18:  the two-CD set “Play All Night: Live at The Beacon Theatre 1992″ and the 1991 concert DVD “Live At Great Woods.” “Play All Night” was recorded during the band’s first extended residency run at The Beacon. “Great Woods” was filmed before a crowd of roughly 20,000 fans at the great Woods Center for the Performing Arts in Massachusetts. This reissue is the original long-form video version of the concert, minus interviews that had previously been edited into the main feature.
Tickets for the group’s 2014 Beacon Theatre shows go on sale starting at 10 a.m. ET Jan. 10, 2014 and can be purchased via www.ticketmaster.com, www.beacontheatre.com or via telephone at 1-800-745-3000. All of the ABB’s 2013 Beacon shows sold out.
The band will head to Live Oak, Fla., April 11-12, 2014, for the 10th annual Wanee Festival; the band has headlined and curated the event since 2005. The full festival lineup will be announced in early 2014.
