What fun we all had at the 49th annual Rockygrass Festival in Lyons, CO.  After a beautiful and moving tribute to the late Tony Rice, I managed to convince these two esteemed gentlemen of the road to take a photo backstage.  Sam Bush is pictured on the left, David Grisman on the right.  That's me, Toast, in the middle looking happy as a clam (^_^)

WIDESPREAD CELEBRATION / RED ROCKS in the RAIN

As you can see, Widespread Panic's return to Red Rocks after the pandemic was an oft-drenched affair, but everyone was "havin' a good time" nevertheless!

 

 

Widespread's official photographer, Josh Timmermans, took the upper shot during the "Chilly Water" encore on the first night.  Lower picture is me and my good buddy, Jay, enjoying the soaking wet extravaganza.  It occurred to me afterwards that it's been a long time since I've seen 10,000 people smiling.
