There were no live Toast-n-Jam sessions on 5/14 or 5/21 - I was traveling to my dad's funeral and took the long way (automobile) to avoid being in airports during the pandemic.  Rest in Peace, Martin Diestler 4/28/42-5/4/20

SPAFFORD at the DRIVE-IN

From JamBands.com - Complying with state social distancing restrictions, on May 24 Spafford will treat fans in their home state of Arizona to a special drive-in performance.

“We are extremely excited for this opportunity. Everyone on our team has been working tirelessly to ensure that this will be an amazing experience that follows all social distancing guidelines. We want to provide a safe, fun environment for everyone to get out and enjoy our music!” the band said via press release.

“You need to stay next to your car and maintain a minimum of 6 feet of distance from others,” reads the event’s FAQ page. “If this changes based on the CDC recommendations we will change this.”

In the COVID-19 era, drive-in performances are quickly becoming an option for bands who are itching to get back onstage. Colorado’s Beanstalk Festival recently announced their pivot to the drive-in model, and ticketing/promoting mammoth Live Nation has also reportedly explored the idea.

For those who can’t attend the event – taking place at Mesa, AZ’s historic Digital Drive-In – the show will be broadcast live, for free via Spafford’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

Tickets for Spafford at the Digital Drive-In will go on sale Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. PT.

BEANSTALK: AMERICA'S FIRST DRIVE-IN MUSIC FESTIVAL

From JamBands.com - In a savvy move, the Beanstalk Festival has taken Colorado’s social distancing rules into consideration and moved from Rancho Del Rio in Bond, Colo. to Fort Collins’ Holiday Twin Drive-In, becoming the country’s first drive-in music festival.

The drive-in format has previously been considered by European promoters as well as U.S. titan LiveNation, yet Beanstalk at the Drive-in – scheduled for June 26-27, 2020 – is the first marquee event to enact it.

Keeping the original lineup intact, host band Magic Beans will be joined by Kitchen Dwellers, Cycles, The Great Salmon Famine and Envy Alo.

According to a press release, “Audio will be beamed to attendees in their vehicles, while video of the live performances will be seen on the theater’s two giant, drive-in movie screens: 90’x35’ and 65’x32’, respectively. This continues the festival’s tradition of blending unique experiences and musical genres at fan first events.”

Adds Beanstalk Festival promoter Scott Hachey, “We’re lucky to be independent promoters with great support when it comes to our patrons, so it’s all about them. We’re resourceful and agile enough as a team to pivot and still provide a music experience that we think may end up being just as fun, and certainly more unique; I think that’s our niche. People are itching to get out and have fun, but also want the reassurance that the right precautions are being taken. Well this is it, here we go!”

Original tickets for Beanstalk will be honored for the new drive-in event, and more information additional tickets can be found at BeanstalkFestival.com.

PHISH POSTPONE SUMMER TOUR TIL 2021

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we sadly have made the difficult decision to reschedule Phish’s entire 2020 summer tour, now moving to the summer of 2021. We’ve been as excited as ever to play music for you all, and are so heartbroken to postpone these dates. The health and well-being of Phish fans, our touring crew, and the communities in which the band plays is our top concern.

The rescheduled dates are below. The new dates for the Atlanta shows will be announced very soon.

A few nuts and bolts: All tickets and travel packages will be automatically honored for the rescheduled dates. However, full refunds are available at the point of purchase as well.
