Albuquerque, NM – Whitewater Ramble will stop at Low Spirits on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 for a 21+ show. Advance tickets are $8 plus service fees, and are available at www.lowspiritslive.com.
After Whitewater Ramble make their first appearance in Albuquerque in nearly a year, they'll return to the studio with producer Tim Carbone (of Railroad Earth) to create the follow-up to their genre-bending debut, All Night Drive. To craft their "High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass" sound the group uses a simple recipe: they start with bluegrass instrumentation, add drums, and finish with a boundary-less approach to grassing-up everything from disco house grooves, to roots to Americana. Whitewater Ramble explores the musical boundaries of multiple genres, fueling their own original songs and innovative covers, with mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums and vocals.
Based in Fort Collins, Colo., Whitewater Ramble has established themselves as one of the hardest working bands in today's jam scene. In their time, they've played over 700 shows. They've played and toured with everyone from Railroad Earth, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Dark Star Orchestra and Splitlip Rayfield to Greensky Bluegrass. They've also had the pleasure of playing events such as Northwest String Summit, Wakarusa and Yonder Mountain's Harvest Festival, as well as numerous Brew Festivals and their own annual two-day music and camping festival, Ramble on the River.
